Ingredients Needed To Make Brown Sugar Mustard Baked Ham
- Spiral Cut Ham
- Brown Sugar
- Whole Grain Mustard
- Dijon Mustard
- Coca Cola
PRO TIP: Be very careful when you’re buying the Ham, it sounds silly but on multiple occasions I’ve bought the wrong kind of ham accidently. In this recipe it’s important to use a Spiral Cut Ham that is pre-cooked and pre-cut so it will simplify the whole process.

How To Make Brown Sugar Mustard Baked Ham
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place the ham, cut-side down in a roasting pan and trim off any excess fat.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, whole grain mustard and Dijon mustard. Gently pat mixture over the ham. Pour Coca Cola into the bottom of the roasting pan. Cover ham with foil, sealing around the edges of the pan. Place in the oven and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- After that time, remove the tin foil from the ham. Baste the ham with juices from the pan and place back in the oven for 15 minutes. Then, baste the ham for a second time and then bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove ham from oven and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Slice ham from the bone and place onto a serving platter. Spoon over additional drippings if desired.

How Do You Keep Ham From Drying Out?
In this recipe, there are a couple different things that you’ll do to keep the Baked Ham perfectly moist. The steam created by covering the ham with foil as it bakes acts to gently cook the ham, keeping it tender. Adding Coca Cola into the bottom of the pan also acts to infuse the ham with moisture. Lastly, basting the ham toward the end of the cook time will ensure that it stays juicy and moist.
How Long Do I Cook A Pre-Cooked Ham?
Since the ham is already cooked, the goal is simply to heat the ham all the way through and infuse as much flavor as possible into the meat. My preferred method to achieve this is by baking the Ham at a lower temperature of 325 degrees for about 2 hours.

Donna, this is my all time favorite baked ham recipe, which I have made from your collection for several years now! Thanks for the addition suggestions. In the seventies my mother glazed hers with honey and orange juice concentrate.
