How To Make Monster Cookies
Just a couple of simple steps, and you can enjoy these cookies in no time!
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together the sugar, brown sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, peanut butter, vanilla, baking soda and salt until well combined.
- Using a wooden spoon, fold in the oats, M&M’s and chocolate chips.
- Place 2-3 tablespoons of cookie dough on to the prepared sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on a rack. Serve and enjoy!
Tips for Making Monster Cookies
- The cookies will spread a good amount as they bake, so make sure that you space them out on the baking sheet properly.
- It’s really important that the butter is at room temp when you cream it together with the sugars. If you use cold butter it will create lumps in your cookie dough that will melt and create pockets while baking.
- I like to use M&M’s in this recipe, but if you want to experiment you can try chopped up KitKat or Reese’s Pieces.
How to Store Monster Cookies
These scrumptious cookies will keep for 5-7 days in an airtight container. If you keep them covered with tinfoil or plastic wrap, they will keep for 3-4 days.
How to Serve These Cookies
Depending on the event you’re serving these for, you can either keep it simple or fancy it up a bit.
If you’re baking these Monster Cookies for a family game night or a movie night with friends, I would keep it simple with a cute platter and some glasses of milk. If you’re baking for a holiday or a special event, you can buy themed M&M’s, they have pink and red for Valentine’s Day or red and green for Christmas and then find a matching serving platter.
