Sunshine Fruit salad is sweet, fresh, and perfect for any party or celebration at any time of the year! Whether you are feeding a crowd, hosting a holiday dinner, or family gathering, this fruity salad is sure to be a crowd favorite.

Every time I serve this salad, the compliments pour in! I’ve served it for Sunday supper, cookouts, Teacher Appreciation luncheons, and it’s always on the breakfast table for Christmas morning.

Sunshine Fruit Salad is so simple to make. That’s why it’s one of my favorite things to make when I’m feeding a bunch of folks. It’s an easy recipe, that’s delicious and can be doubled or tripled when needed.

So, “shop” your own fridge, farmers market, or grocery, find what’s fresh and what you like.  After that, sharpen your knife, get out your cutting board and have fun with fruit!

    • Summer Cookouts
    • Easter Dinner
    • Birthday Parties

    • Grapes
    • Bananas
    • Honey
    • Orange Juice
    • Cinnamon – optional

    SUCCESS TIP!

The number one success tip for this salad is to use 3 types of fruit, no more. The fruit is really the star of this dish, so by only using 3, they shine. I buy whatever fruit that I like that’s on sale. Be creative and change it up!

How Do You Make This Recipe?

There are only 3 simple steps to making this delightful salad.

    1. Wash and slice the fruit.
    2. Make the dressing.
    3. Pour the dressing over the fruit, chill and serve!

Can You Make This Salad Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you sure can! It’s actually better if you let the fruit marinate in the dressing for a couple of hours before serving.

What’s The Best Way To Store This Salad?

Store Sunshine Fruit Salad in an airtight bowl in the refrigerator. To keep the fruit from turning brown, make sure there is a little air in the container as possible. The salad will keep for up to 4 days.

I usually have bananas, grapes and some other fruit on hand so that’s what I put in the salad. I do love to add fresh berries or apples for crunch.
